The Masala Bhangra Workout® is derived from two Indian words: Masala, which means ‘spicy’ in Hindi, and Bhangra, which is a traditional folk dance from the northern state of Punjab, India. The Masala Bhangra Workout® is an exercise dance routine that modernizes the high-energy folk dance of Bhangra by blending traditional Bhangra dance steps and the exhilaration of Bollywood (Hindi film) moves, seen recently in the Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire! This unique dance mixes cardiovascular with fun, and is suitable for participants of all ages and fitness levels. For more information on Masala Bhangra go to www.masaladance.com.

Joseph Snowhawk: Intermediate Salsa (ON HOLD UNTIL FUTURE NOTICE)
Thursdays
Bridget Ellis: Salsa Beginners I: Patterns
This class is taught in an 8 week session format, therefore, no drop in's are allowed. This class is designed to teach the core basics of the Salsa dance. A student works through a syllabus of beginner level patterns with other partners from the session. Students are introduced to the concepts of leading and following with the body and with the arms and how those concepts are applied to each pattern. A student is ready to dance socially after the first class of this session.
Bridget Ellis: Salsa Intermediate I: Patterns
This class is taught in an 8 week session format, therefore, no drop in's are allowed. There are an abundance of patterns from which to choose when dancing Intermediate Salsa. However, I have carefully selected seven patterns that are commonly used at the intermediate level. These patterns allow the fluidity and movement of the dance to shine. Leads and follows are further educated on the concept of the body lead and on why it is a better method of leading when dancing Salsa, as well as more evolved spin techniques, styling, musicality and footwork.
Fridays
Bridget Ellis: Salsa Beginner II: Combinations-ADDITIONAL DAY & TIME!
This class is taught in an 8 week session format, therefore, no drop in's are allowed. This class takes the techniques and patterns learned in the Beginner I: Patterns session and expands on that newly acquired knowledge by introducing a student to combinations and also to variations of the Beginner I: Patterns syllabus. This enables the lead (male) to think of their patterns on the fly while still remaining on time with the music and maintaining clear lead techniques. The follow (female) is able to develop a keen sensitivity to their lead’s movements, thus enabling her to advance in her own dance as opposed to blindly following without awareness of her own actions.
Bridget Ellis: New York "On2" Salsa"
Finally, an ongoing class in Denver for those that want to learn the fun style of dance from where Salsa was raised! NY On2 Salsa is a great way to dance to the music in a way that brings Salsa music alive. We'll be going over basic patterns, footwork and body movements that will get you introduced to On2 in a fun and easy way. Come give it a try.
Saturdays
Renee Leon: Latin Fusion Cardio
Don’t WORK . . . work it out! Have fun and burn calories at the same time! This is an ALL DANCE workout to make your body sweat and your dance moves HOT HOT HOT! In one hour, we’ll gradually build up a Jazz/Hip Hop routine to Pop, R&B, and Latin Pop music. This class is for all the dancers out there who are CRAVING choreography!
Bridget Ellis: Salsa Beginner II: Combinations
Bridget Ellis: Salsa Intermediate II: Combinations
This class is now taught in a drop in format. You may jump in any week. Using the syllabus of patterns from Intermediate I: Patterns and the syllabus of combinations from Beginner II: Combinations, a student can now see how Salsa really begins to come together into a cohesive dance. This class is a fun challenge used to test a student’s comprehension and mastery of the three previous sessions. Students will learn unique combinations that focus on musicality and fluidity. With their newly acquired Salsa skills, students are now hot commodities on the social dance floor.
